An Interpretation of the Quran (An-Nur:2)

...(14) The Islamic Law does not make it obligatory that a person must confess his guilt of zina, or those who have knowledge of it must inform the authorities about it. But in case his guilt come to the notice of the authorities, there is no room for pardoning the guilt.
